Yesteryears' actress Tanuja may not have reached Mumbai's stellar skyline, as far as popularity factor was concerned, but she had elegance, style and piquancy that very few actresses of her times had.It is that style, class and piquancy that sets apart her daughter Kajol from the rest of her contemporaries.
Kajol was born to the producer-actress duo of Shomu Mukherjee and Tanuja on August 5, 1975, Kajol grew up in an influential setting. Her father and uncles ruled in the arena of producing films and her mother, Tanuja, aunt Nutan and grandmother Shobhana Samarth were established actresses par excellence.She almost had no worry regarding her entrance to the films.

After winning the Miss World title, Priyanka became an actress. She first acted in a Tamil film Thamizhan (2002) and since then has acted in many Bollywood films. Her first Hindi film was the big budget The Hero: Love Story of a Spy (2003) which was a flop. She became more known from her next film Andaaz (2003) which was a hit, for which she won her first Filmfare Award. In 2006, she worked in two of the most successful films of the year - Krrish and Don - The Chase Begins Again.
